Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“these Terms”) set out the conditions for using “Mofu Shogi” (the “Service”) provided by Mofu Kobo (the “Operator”). By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

1. Accounts

• If your account isn't linked to Apple or Google, you may not be able to carry it over if you clear the app's data or change devices.
• You may not transfer or lend your account to anyone else.
• Do not use words that hurt others, impersonation, or anything that violates laws or regulations in your display name. The Operator may change inappropriate display names.

2. Age Requirement

The Service is intended for people aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, please use the Service with the consent of your parent or guardian.

3. Prohibited Conduct

• Playing games using moves from a shogi AI or similar software (software-assisted play)
• Manipulating game results, such as by using multiple accounts or colluding with other users, to obtain rewards or ranks
• Exploiting bugs in the Service to obtain unfair benefits
• Placing an excessive load on the Service, analyzing or modifying its programs, or connecting to it by any means other than those provided by the Operator
• Harassing or impersonating other users
• Anything that violates laws and regulations or public order and morals

If you violate any of these, the Operator may take measures such as revoking rewards, correcting ranks, restricting use, or suspending your account.

4. Games

• Opponents are matched automatically. Your opponents may include computer players.
• Even if a game is interrupted due to a connection problem or similar, the result is decided according to the game rules.

5. Fees

The Service is free to use. You are responsible for any data charges.

6. Changes, Suspension, and Termination of the Service

The Operator may change the content of the Service, or suspend or end its provision. Important changes and termination will be announced within the Service.

7. Disclaimer

• The Operator does not guarantee that the Service is free of defects or that it will suit your purposes.
• If you suffer any damage in connection with your use of the Service, the Operator's liability is limited to direct and ordinary damages actually incurred by you, except where the Operator has acted intentionally or with gross negligence.

8. Privacy

The handling of users' information is set out in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to These Terms

The Operator may change these Terms as necessary. When it does, the Operator will announce the details of the change and the date it takes effect within the Service in advance.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are interpreted in accordance with the laws of Japan. If any dispute arises in connection with the Service, the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive agreed jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
